Louise Bourgeois
L. Bourgeois has been a very significant morph for the project "Dance away" 1,2,3 as we were inspired by her personal experiences. That element along with her amazing variety concerning the media she used in her artwork was like a push for us to step into the unknown and and try to conquer it through experiences and knowledge expansion. Particularly her book "Louise Bourgeois Destruction of the Father / Reconstruction of the Father: Writings and Interviews, 1923-1997" "rang" our performance bell.
Linda Benglis
The element of variety didn't come only by Louise Bourgeois but from Linda Benglis as well. Various of her art pieces can be called alternative performances such as " female sensibility" in addition to the shoots she did with the company of technical female pleasure ( dildo). We assume that those can count as alternative performances.
Ursula Martinez, Oliver Sagana
are the examples we had on how performances are made. Either on stage on in front of a camera.Gladly this term we were give the chance ( sort of) to experience both kinds.
Fiona Crisp
The stimulating photographs in BalticGallery of modern art and from her book "Hyper passive" of Fiona Crisp gave us the idea of adding another form of art into our performances. Marrying 2 kinds of art ( performance and photography) we have to admit that their child seems to very ambitious.
